Paul Gordon is in the Death House charged with murder but maintains he is innocent.. but of course no one believes him. No one except.. The Shadow who, thanks to a number of supernatural-like abilities, has discovered Paul is completely innocent. Paul, desperate for a job, inadvertently took a driving job for a group of bank robbers who fled the scene after the alarm was raised leaving him to take the blame.
-Ending/Twist-
The Shadow reads Paul Gordon’s mind and discovers some missing evidence that will prove his innocence and also the identity of those truly responsible for the bank robbery. Paul reveals that one of his captives reached up and twisted the rear-view mirror which of course left a fingerprint which is discovered by the police and leads to the capture of the true robbers and the pardon of Paul Gordon.
